To Move or Renovate: Important Things to Consider
Published on Tuesday, 24 November 2009
If you are no longer happy with your current home, you have two options: renovate or move to another home. But the dilemma is which is the best for you? Of course, you need to look into the reasons why you are no longer happy with the new house. If you are not happy because you want to upgrade the style of the house, you want to expand the rooms but you want to maintain the same neighbourhood, then renovation could be the best for you. However, if you want a new home because you are tired of the long travel to your work from your home and that you want to get rid of the noisy neighbourhood that you currently have, then you might want to move. Both actually have their pro's and con's. If you renovate, you would need a big budget, plan tremendously for the new home and would need a professional who would do the redesigning. For moving, it would need a big adjustment from you and your kids to fit into the new environment. But looking on the positive side, if you move, you can choose a house that certainly has all the things you wanted. And if you renovate, you would have all the luxury of redesigning the whole house to your dream haven. To renovate or move? The answer surely boils down to your reasons of having a happy home.
